Question by Veneta L: Spend to much money at the poker machines in Vegas?
I live in Las Vegas, gambling is everywhere!! I only play once a week but never seem to be able to walk away if I still have money in my pocket. Have tried everything, but I get so bored, and just when I say no more then I will hit a jackpot and win, and then I am off and running again, always wanting more. I don’t want to hurt myself or my family, but when you are playing and having fun it is so very hard to quit. I do not go into casinos anymore, but my local bar, they know me by name, talk with me and give me “free” food, haha. How do I make myself just not go in. And saying just don’t do it, doesn’t help, it is not that easy.

Find somehting else that you enjoy so you won’t be bored. If you want to go, go with someone who you know will not let you gamble.

Which place is better for a professional poker player to live
Las Vegas or California? (based on where more amateur players play).

I know Las Vegas has more poker rooms but does that mean there are more experts there or more experts in california card rooms?

(in other words I would like to move somewhere that has more new poker players or less skilled)

I think Vegas is a better place because real estate is less expensive, like in Henderson NV. In Vegas you do get an influx of tourists that always make money easy to take. In the California casinos poker is all they play so I would figure the players are better…

Question by Jack Hammer: Are there going to be any famous poker players in Vegas March 17th – 20th?
I just would like to watch a poker tournement with some of the pros you see on T.V. Does anyone know if there is a big tournament scheduled during that time or where the pros might be hanging out. Thanks.

There is a huge poker tournament at the Wynn, it runs from February 26 until March 19th. You would be there for the finals, big tournaments draw big name players.

Daniel Negraneau is the poker pro at the Venetian so he is in town quite a bit.

Ask the dealer and they will explain the rules. Try roulette I won $ 3000 just betting on red or black my first time in Vegas.

I love 100 Play Poker and Double Bonus Poker. Those are two great video poker games and they’re both better when they are combined into one game like that.
