It doesn’t matter how pricey it is. It’s almost my mom’s birthday and I want to take her to a really nice hotel in Vegas where she can get a good, if not, best view of a beautiful night scenery. My mom’s never been to a nice hotel so I wanted to do that for her this birthday since she loves city lights and going on trips. Also any recommendations of nice restaurants with good food? Thanks a lot

Any hotel on the strip above the 10th floor. Of particular note is the part of Mandalay Bay called “The Hotel” but you have to be on the side facing north.

I am going to Vegas for my birthday this summer, and I am having trouble deciding where to book. I want a place that is on the strip, and more of a happening place, rather then a family hot spot. I could use any advice anyone has on saving money and cool places to go for 21 and 22 yr olds. I want to book soon to save time. Also, if anyone knows of a hotel that offers jacuzzi suites near or on the strip, I would like to know of those as well.

Luxor, Mandalay Bay, or MGM. I’ve stayed in the first two. Luxor is very nice, nice casinos, and an amazing buffet, and it is very close to the other hotels which usually have great shows. Mandalay Bay doesn’t have much of a theme, but it is still VERY nice, and has an AMAZING pool, and it also very close to the others. I’ve never stayed in MGM but I would love to.

its my boyfriends 21st bday this november and were planning a trip to vegas.. can anyone give me any suggestions? we need a good hotel on the strip that isnt too pricy. the hotel doesnt have to be fancy just close to everything fun!

My suggestions: Imperial Palace, Harrahs, Tropicana, Flamingo (a little bit more expensive than the others), Riviera, Sahara, Luxor, Excalibur and the Stratosphere. I would stay at one on the south part of the Strip. That elimates the Riviera, Sahara and the Stratosphere. The south end is where most the stuff is happening.

Question by Tim Gardner: What is the best hotel in vegas for the 25-30 crowd? Would want one with a good pool scene and good nightlife?
This is for a trip to vegas for a bunch of my friends. Mixed crowd with regards to females and males…….just trying to get some feedback. I’ve looked into Hard Rock (worried about it being off the strip), Planet Hollywood Towers looks ok, but has mixed reviews, and the Venetian looks to have great nightlife but the hotel itself appears to be old fashioned

You are right about the problem with the Hard Rock is it’s location. Same is true with the Palms. Planet Hollywood would be your best choice with it having a younger crowd. Forget the Venetian as it not a party place to stay. You can always enjoy the night life at any hotel. PH puts you right in the center of things on the strip. Forget reviews for the most part. Most are fake or they have a beef with the property over something stupid.

I live in Vegas and work on the strip; many would probably say that the Bellagio is the nicest hotel, along with Caesars Palace and The Venetian or The Palazzo. The Bellagio has a reputation for its buffet, high-class Italian design and interior. There is also the famous Bellagio fountains. Caesars Palace is one of the largest and most expansive properties, having existed since 1967. It is a beautiful hotel that also connects to the upper-class Forum Shops. There is the new CityCenter which features the Aria building, the Veer Towers, and the Mandarin Oriental. MGM Grand is an excellent hotel that is one of the best (hopefully you are not too bored with it). The Mirage is nice but it doesn’t feature a whole lot. As far as simple, classy hotels there is the red-and-cream Tropicana. The novelty hotels are fun but can become boring, like the New York, New York or Treasure Island, with the Excalibur being my least favorite.
