Question by DUDE: Sneaking somebody to a las vegas hotel room?
It will be 5 of us staying at the flamingo hotel and casino. But we want to sneak in a friend because they only allow 4 people per room. They have cameras around the halls but they have thousands of rooms so will we get caught sneaking in my friend. And what happens if we get caught?

You’ll probably be okay at Flamingo, but it’s definitely a risk. If caught, they’ll require you to get another room or to leave the property – and you won’t get a refund. They could call the police because it is illegal. Some Vegas hotels are cracking down on this, but not via the security cameras. At some, but not Flamingo, there are security guards at the elevators the rooms. They require EVERY guest to show a hotel key to be admitted upstairs. Housekeeping also knows how many are registered to a room, and they sometimes report if they notice extra guests.

My girlfriend and I are going to vegas for the new years to get married. We are more into a nice room with an awesome view, prefer rooms that are very high in the sky and must have a huge jacuzzi tub. We are not into gambling, so most of time would be in the room. Any ideas for that perfect room????

Ok – so what’s the deal with this caveat on Southwest and United Airlines vacation sites: Guests attending a convention cannot use this property for their stay.

Received this message when trying to book the Rio hotel for a conference I’m attending. Can the hotel actually ‘tell’ whether I’m attending the conference? How would they ever know?
One thing I failed to mention – I was late registering for my conference, and the last available hotel has received a great number of poor reviews.

People attending a convention will get a discount on rooms at certain hotels. They are just saying you will not get a convention discount or perks that a convention sometimes provide.

Paris is a very nice hotel casino, though the casino is not huge. But it is connected to Ballys where you can cross to Bills, Flamingo, Caesars Palace, and Bellagio.

I am going to Vegas for my birthday this summer, and I am having trouble deciding where to book. I want a place that is on the strip, and more of a happening place, rather then a family hot spot. I could use any advice anyone has on saving money and cool places to go for 21 and 22 yr olds. I want to book soon to save time. Also, if anyone knows of a hotel that offers jacuzzi suites near or on the strip, I would like to know of those as well.

I looked online (on Expedia, Priceline, etc) to find very low rates, but I don’t want to choose a hotel until I get there. Will I get the same rates?

No. If the hotel is close to full, you can expect the rate to be much higher. If the hotel is practically empty, you can expect the rates to be a little less.

I stayed at New York and got a good price with a nice room, and good location on the strip. Its more family oriented than the other 2. If you could get a good deal and you are young I would stay at the Monte Carlo.

Luxor, Mandalay Bay, or MGM. I’ve stayed in the first two. Luxor is very nice, nice casinos, and an amazing buffet, and it is very close to the other hotels which usually have great shows. Mandalay Bay doesn’t have much of a theme, but it is still VERY nice, and has an AMAZING pool, and it also very close to the others. I’ve never stayed in MGM but I would love to.
