From LV Metro, Henderson and North las Vegas. It seems like its who you know and not what you know. It’s ridiculous they say to tell you the truth then they bar you from employment. Do they want you to lie about your prior drug history? I am 100% positive there are cops that have smoked marijuana on the job here for go’s sake. They don’t give alot of people a chance and its ridiculous.

This should be a piece of cake. Las Vegas Metro is the only combined Sheriff and City Police operation I know of. There is no police Chief, only a Sheriff elected by the people. In my mind it is an ideal way to control a law enforcement agency

When a police chief is in charge, that chief is responsible to the mayor or city council and they want revenues and they come from traffic tickets.

Sheriff’s on the other hand are responsible to the electorate and provide a more just and reasonable form of law enforcement.
