Question by Kitong: What are some good comedy shows in las vegas?
I plan on going to las vegas during winter vacation and was wondering if anyone knew any awesome comedy shows. I originally wanted to see dave chapelle but i havent seen anything recently about him. Also something that allows a 16 year old in. Thanks

Hi Kitong,

Yes, unfortunately most of the shows Dave Chapelle does now are unannounced and low-key (as far as I know). However, if you go to the shows section on VisitLasVegas.com (http://www.visitlasvegas.com/vegas/play/shows/) and sort by “comedy” you will find some good options for when you are in town. I am already going to see “O” by Cirque Du Soleil, would seeing Believe after that be somewhat repetitive? Or is it going to be completely different? Are there any other Chriss Angel shows in vegas besides Believe or any other magic shows in general that are really amazing

Believe is something really different. Not getting good reviews but I think you really have to appreciate Chris Angel to enjoy his show. Kind of what it’s like inside his mind.

If you want to go you can get a great deal by going to this website and following the directions for great discounts on Cirque du Soleil tickets in Vegas. You can also check out the other magic show reviews on that site.

I will be going to Vegas at the end of February for 5 days and want to see a few shows when I’m there. I would like to maybe see something nice like, cirque du soleil but also some of the magic shows playing. I am wondering if I should order them online before I go or wait until I get there and purchase them then. Is it pretty easy to get tickets to shows there or do they sell out quickly? I would rather purchase them there but don’t want to not be able to see anything because everything is sold out….

When you get to Vegas there are discount ticket sellers on the strip. They purchase the un-sold tickets of many shows and sell them HALF price. You can also do a time share tour (hours worth of time) and get free tickets that way. I would go w/ the discount broker booths.

My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to Las Vegas towards the end of July. I know how expensive it can be so I was hoping we can score some free shows or night clubs tickets. Any advice or tips???

When you get there check with the Concierge and just ask,the casinos have free stuff for the asking. Many people just dont ask. You can get free room upgrades,dinners etc. Also sign up for EVERY players card you can.If you plan on gambling alot make sure your plays get tracked.

I found a guide that saved me at least $ 150 on my last trip. It wasn’t free but more than worth the $ 9 price tag from Amazon. http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/casino-guide.html . It had tons of tips for Vegas and over 140 pages of coupons. There is a list of the discount coupons on that link.

I haven’t been to Vegas since I was 8. I was actually called up out of the audience to be a part of a magician’s show. I would love to see Blue Man Group but can’t offer any other advice on the subject. The thing that I would HAVE to do in vegas is go shoe shopping. Have fun! When do you leave?

You’ll be able to buy tickets for many shows on short notice once you arrive in Las Vegas, but many major productions, headliner shows, and concerts can be sold out weeks and months in advance. Therefore, is advisable to plan ahead and book some of the shows you want to see ahead of time.

Lance Burton always gets high marks from the locals. The new show at Planet Hollywood with Pam Anderson has gotten a lot of good press.

Personally, I would go to see one of the Cirque de Solieil shows instead. They are much more interesting and fun. IF you like the Beatles, Love is awesome.

As another show, I highly recommend Stomp Out Loud also at Planet Hollywood. it was phenomenal!!
