Which Hotels In Las Vegas Have The Best Poker Tournaments?

I’d like to play in a No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em tournament this weekend. I’m looking for something with a low buy-in…under $100. Thanks!

First, check out cardplayer magazine for listed tournaments and buyins (it’s in the back section).
Personally, I really liked playing in the Plant Hollywood 7pm tournament which the buy in was $50 w/ $10 add-on, so $60 in total. This is a Re-Buy tournament but I just made sure I wasn’t out before the first break. Really great room and was very comfortable.
I also played at Paris and that was $65 buyin. I really didn’t like the room which really wasn’t a room. It was small and very cramped.
There are a few more tournaments at Luxor and Ceasers that are under your limit.
Card player magazine is free in every cardroom so that would be the first thing you should pick up.
    Have a great time!!!

I’ve played the Bally’s/ Paris tourney for $60. In all honesty, for a patient player, it’s tough to make the money unless you catch a real hot streak. I had made it to the final table, and because blinds were so high, it came down to an all-in-fest because no one had enough chips to see a flop without being pot committed. When I go, I’m in the same boat as you – looking for tourneys under $100. But the big key is getting “play” for your money. “Play” meaning that taking into consideration blind structure, starting chip amount, and how much time each level is. You would hate to play patient, smart poker, make it to the final table, and have it come down to who can get lucky. There is a website that has taken into consideration all those listed factors for you. Whenever I go to Vegas, I take it with me. It’s a really good guide and also lists many smaller local casinos that CardPlayer doesn’t list.
Personally, every time I’m in Vegas I’ll play a tourney at the Orleans. You get enough chips to see flops and play various hands. And it’s a good value- under $100. Generally, the final table gets paid- one of the tourneys I played first place paid over a grand.
Good luck and hope the cards come your way!

I was in Vegas in May and I stayed at Planet Hollywood. I enjoyed their tournaments. Low buy of $50 + $10 add on gets you 4000 in chips and even though they were re-buys no one play too reckless and you were able to play some poker.

There is a small room at GoldCoast off strip on Flamingo across from RIO– you cant miss it– has a daily tourny – was a 20 buy in with no rebuys a few months ago,,
has been a while since actually played that one and placed 3rd last time out of about 30 players
